Synopsis

A silent black & white video, presenting a digitally-constructed abstract world, a hybrid environment in a continuous morphing state, devoid of a tangible original. Through CGI & AI, it embodies Jacques Baudrillard’s concept of « Simulacre », showcasing a « Reality+ », born from common human consciousness and digital mediums, blurring lines between authentic and artificial. The stark black & white imagery and the absence of sound, further enhance this otherworldliness, compelling also introspection on the nature of perception. The video initiates a larger investigation into the human-AI creative relationship, questioning how these Simulacras impact both the artist’s & the audience’s experience. This exploration aligns with the artist’s wish to examine the digital replicas that reshape our understanding of reality, inviting the audience to contemplate and reflect on the hyperreality of technology.
